Kayla's Story

I'm a middle-sized town girl. Yeah, that kind of sounds generic, but i'm OK with that. I'm not a huge fan of the city (which is where I just moved from), but i'm also not thrilled about the idea of living in the middle of a corn field. I grew up in the railroaders City of Altoona, which technically isn't a city anymore now that the railroad isn't a booming business. This little gem of a city/town is nestled in center of Pennsylvania. I guess to most people it probably isn't all that exciting of a place, but to me it's perfect. It's the place where the vast majority of my growing up years took place and holds many fond memories for me. It's the place where I learned to drive a car over many pot-holed roads, where I found the only boy I ever wanted to be in a relationship with, where I got engaged, and finally where I got married.
After marrying Steven my wonderful husband of over four years now, we moved out to Chicago, IL so he could finish up his four year college degree at Moody Bible Institute. We moved back to Pennsylvania where we are now working for a children's ministry which you can read about <here>.Our life together has been an adventure (a fun one I might add). God has taught us so much in the short time that we have been together, I can only imagine what is yet to come in our Life's Tr3k.
The most important distinction about myself is that I am a follower of Christ. My desire for my Life's Tr3k is to glorify and honor my Savior to the best of my ability. So whether I am cooking, painting, or creating in some way, I give all the honor and glory to the one who has given me these abilities.
I have chosen to call this blog Life Tr3k, because though this little corner of the virtual world doesn't contain all of my life, it does contain a small piece- it is a way for me to document the little things in life and provides a way for me to go back and see how God has directed my path and perhaps God willing, what I am learning in my life can be an encouragement and a challenge to you as well!
